Members of the Conservation Group have embarked on an ambitious project to catalogue all the plant species in the Reserve.
This will be done by using quadrats (a simple frame to isolate a specific area for study) at various locations in the reserve, to analyse the species and distribution. Dozens of sample locations will be analysed and collated to give accurate results.
The last survey was carried out over 20 years ago, when around 200 species were detected – how many more will we find this time round?
The study will take several weeks and if you are interested in taking part, just click the ‘get in touch’ link to connect with the Conservation Group, or come along to the next meeting at the Village Hall on Monday 14th September at 7pm.
