About our village hall

Clara Vale Village Hall is a friendly and welcoming community hall at the heart of the village.

The hall is managed by a committee of residents in the village and is fundraised for by the village and the committee through events and hires of the building and rental of rooms in the business centre.

The hall is used on an almost daily basis, with a busy programme of classes, meetings and community events as well as being available for private hires such as children’s parties and weddings.

As well as the facilities within the hall, the hall is set in grounds with parking and grassy areas with picnic tables. It also has it’s own wood fired pizza oven with covered area within the grounds and the village’s children’s play park is to the side of the hall and accessible through the yard.

From 2017 onwards there has been a significant amount of development and refurbishment of the hall including the conversion of part of the building to make a business centre, redecorating throughout, installation of a wood burning stove and refurbishment of the original wooden flooring.

There are further plans with agreed funding to improve the kitchen facilities and area in late 2019/ early 2020.

We are pleased to have received funding from Weston Anniversary Fund from the Garfield Weston Foundation. This has been used to build unisex toilets; a new stage storage area and a new roof with further plans to modernise the kitchen as well. Find out more about their fund here.
